Did anyone suffer any effects from taking lexapro? |
Issue Just wondering if anyone experienced any effects from taking lexapro and drinking? Weird things are happening when I drink. Im only taking lexapro for the last 3 months and sometimes when I drink I do stupid things which I would never have done and cant remember Best Tip yes,i take lexapro and and had some drinks this weekend and what a trip,my aunt's a nurse she said alot of bad bad things counld happen to me ,so on that note DON'T TAKE THE MED THE DAY YOU DRINK,PLEASE!!!!!!! Others I DON'T REMEMBER ANY SIDE EFFECTS FORM THE DRUG BUT THERE WHERE SOME FROM THE DRINK It's not the Lexapro. It's the lexapro and the drinks when they are mixed. That is not a good combination. If you are taking Lexapro to feel better, do yourself a favor and give up alcohol for a while. YES! You pretty much can't drink on it, at least not binge drink. When I would drink just a glass of wine or one beer it was fine. Coming off of it is actually the worse part. I would see tracers and felt very weird for about a week. best of luck to you. Alcohol is a depressant! Add one depressant to another, and you have lessened your ability to drive, or perform other dangerous tasks. Never never mix alcohol with any drugs! The warnings come on the advisory leaflets with all drugs. Lexapro builds up in your system, and should never be stopped abruptly, rather decreased gradually, under the advice of your doctor. Drugs are not to be messed with...possible side effects of nausea, vomiting, dizziness, trouble sleeping, etc., etc., are only worsened when not taken as directed. I take Lexapro, and found it to be calming and helpful in getting me through the "rough times" since my husband passed away. Everyone is different in their reactions to these, and any kind of med....talk with your physician if you are having problems with the drug so he can find another more suitable...also, your pharmacist is top source of information on your drugs...that's their job. I have a son who cannot handle any of the depressants....turn to Yoga, or just plain old exercising....amazing how much some exercise can improve your emotional health, and improve your physical health at the same time. Exercise and prayer....better than any drug.... Drinking should be avoided while on lexapro (or maximum 2 drinks a day, 5 days a week). My friend on Lexapro had Loss of libido Weight gain Erectyle Dysfunction Lexapro may induce mood swings or mania. lol thats a dificult question however i dont think you will find the answer on Yahoo ask your self before others good luck |
