I wake up around 4:00 every morning?


Issue
Even though I don't have to get up until 6:00 AM I wake up anywhere from 4:00 on and lay there worring because I'm not sleeping. Does anyone have with a solution for this problem? I've been to the doctor's several times; they just want to prescribe a anti-depressant or sleep med. It would seem to be a psychological
problem more than a chemical one. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ask your doctor for a depression questionnaire (or find one on-line) If you find you are depressed, believe me, anti-depressants can make a world of difference. Real clinical depression IS chemical, and early waking is one symptom. But need to know if that's really the problem. No need to suffer when help is available. It's no different from diabetes or heart disease. It is physical. No shame or weakness. Often genetic. Source(s): I am type II bipolar and also retired psych nurse.

sounds like you are stressed out, try to get some exercise to relieve the stress, go for a walk , join a
gym or take a swimming class ( lessons) hope this is helpful & take care

put a few drops of lavender oil on your pillow, before you sleep write down all your worries. drink a milky drink before bedtime.
dont eat too much before sleeping. try to chill out more. meditation and yoga are good too.... good luck. seli x
Well, I have faced this problem earlier. As someone else puts it try getting some exercise druing the day. The fatigue makes you take that much mroe rest. Also have a shower before you sleep or maybe drink a glass of milk too. Ensure that the room you sleep in has enough air circulation as well.
