How can I escape from her? |
Issue Iam a 21 y old man and an OCD patient.2 years back I fell in love with a girl. Our educational course was ended in 2004. After that I never meet her or contact her.But after that I was in an imaginative world of her.In 24 hours i think about her in 3 or 4.Sometimes when thinking about the possibility of a new lover she may have i will fell deepest pain and anxiety. I tryed to get a new lover to escape from this. But no use I cannot even think of another girl in her place. We never touched physically. Iam became an "ADDICT" of her.She has socially and economically good status than me.This thought hunting and teasing me hard(ego).I think my life is going to be a "waste".How can i forget her and set my mind for a new life.Kindely help me. Best Tip It happens to all people with OCD. It will be okay after you successfully treat OCD. If you did not start the treatment, you have to consult a clinical psychiatrist. A combination of Medication with CBT recommended. Start the med first and go for CBT after 3 months. You have to take an SSRI. They are: citalopram (Celexa, Cipramil, Emocal, Sepram) escitalopram oxalate (Lexapro, Cipralex, Esertia) fluoxetine (Prozac, Fontex, Seromex, Seronil, Sarafem, Fluctin (EUR)) fluvoxamine maleate (Luvox, Faverin) paroxetine (Paxil, Seroxat, Aropax, Deroxat) sertraline (Zoloft, Lustral, Serlain) OCD needs high dose of these drugs. Start one drug (all drugs are equally effective, consider the cost) at a low dose and increase the dose gradually upto the maximum recommended daily dose. You have to stay on the maximum dose for 3 months to know the result. After 6 months you can decrease the dose and find the appropriate maintenance dose. OCD is a chronic condition and you have to take medication indefenitely. Practicing CBT will help you reduce the medication a lot and the effect of CBT is long lasting. Learn about OCD more, a lot of info available on the net. http://www.nimh.nih.gov/healthinformatio... http://www.ocfoundation.org/ http://www.ocdonline.com/ OCD people have low levels of serotonin in the brain. Low levels of serotonin is associated with obsessive romance, love, pathological affection etc... I strongly disagree with some opinions of Helen fisher though you may read this http://www.helenfisher.com/ If you want to forget the girl you must treat your OCD first. Others its just your ocd, you are obsessive about this girl, your treatment didnt help, try again, you are sick and she has moved on . forget her, shes forgotten you. sure you need self control she has you whipped See a shrink. Life is not all about you, you know. go to a therapist and talk to them. its seriously helps. try to keep yourself really busy and go to sleep tired so you dont have too much time to think about her. I have OCD too and it is hard to get over things fast because you obsess and have compulsions about her. There is another girl out there for you. I would suggest that you go to talk to your Psychiatrist or Therapist for some help and some positive thinking and next time and this is no a put down just a little helper use the spell check over you question its easy just click it on after you are done with the question and it will tell you all of the things you spelled wrong thus making it easier for us to understand. Good Luck and God Bless I would say that your OCD is not being treated successfully. Only through help and treatment can you move on and live your life. If you are in treatment then I would speak to your doctor or therapist about it so that you can correct your treatment plan, change your medication or find help in other ways. You can have OCD and live a normal life as it is a highly treatable disorder. If you are not in treatment, I would seek a doctor's advice on treatment. Good luck and take good care of yourself. |
