What should I do about 7 year old that talked about committing suicide when he was at school? |
Issue teacher called me and was very upset. I don't think this is common Best Tip dont listen to coward. geez, some people. try asking him gently about it. there are a few possibilties.. maybe he said it for attention, maybe he doesnt even know what it means, or maybe he is feeling depressed. it sounds like whatever it is, there is a problem going on. try talking to him, and then definitely try therapy. as a child who went through the school counselor, i would not recommend it. find your own, research good child psychologists in your area. good luck :) Others What do you THINK you should do idiot?? Your the parent?...you need to talk to this child...stop wasting time here, I would seek professional help as soon as possible-contact his pediatrician for a referral. Definatley not commen I think he is probably getting that from somewhere else because most 7 year olds don't have a clue what it even is. PLEASE take your 7 year old to see a child psychiatrist ASAP. it's better to be proactive that be sorry you weren't. i hope you have discussed this issue w/your child and not tried to ignore it. PLEASE GET HELP ASAP! talk to the school counselor.. but in all honesty, at that age it was probably something the 7 year old observed somewhere else (home, TV, wherever) but you should still talk to the school counselor |
