As long as you believe it can work it has a good chance of working. The mind had the ability to heal the body if you let it.
You could try but I dont think it would be very successful.
deep breathing self hypnosis works
Try relaxation tapes and stick with it until you have learned how to do deep relaxation. Its another form of hypnosis it will certainly help you a lot.
I wish you would consider removing the question and being more in-depth about the kind of therapy and medications that he/she was on or tried.

There are a host of panic disorder, such as panic disorders with agoraphobia, social phobia and simple phobia.

If your partner saw a psychologist, I don't think your partner would get the therapy that they need. And if all the therapy failed a psychologist is not qualified by law to write and Rx.

There is behavioral modification, reality therapy, bio-feedback, yoga and hypnosis. If all these techniques fail then I will place the person on "Alaprozolam", (Xanax), an excellent anxiety drug for panic attacks.

The dosage will be anywhere from 1mg, per day to maxium 3mg., per day. Depends on what works best for them as the purpose is to give your patient a quality life.

And that is what is important in life.

Please be aware that the drug mentioned above an all other drugs of this nature are addictive. The person taking these drugs most consult with their doctor before they cut back or want to stop. As you must be weened off under a doctors care as you can have seizures.

Good luck to you and your partner.
