Issue I dont like how antipsychotics have changed my personality. Any of you know of a treatment to reverse this effect? I want to be like I was before... Antipsychotics devastated my brain and facial features. I don't look the same at all. Best Tip If you stop taking them that should reverse the effects. If you are unhappy with how your illness is being treated you should discuss it with your doctor before discontinuing treatment. You may have to deal with some changes in order to regain or maintain your sanity. Others tell your doctor that it has changed you completely.if you dont like the meds you have now,theres no choice,but to keep taking them till you book in for another appointment with your doctor.If your doctor isnt helping out much then switch to another one.I wish you luck!! take care mate~!! These drugs are meant to treat serious mental health problems and are not given out without a lot of consideration. If you are not happy with one ask for another. They tend so slow things down, make people tired at first but a lot of times side effects will go away after awhile. The result on stopping them without talking to your Dr can be catastrophic and can lead to serious consequences. Please please please talk to your doctor first. Bring someone you trust with you there and be honest. Work with the doctor to find a happy medium, Have faith you will, I do :) A therapist Some of the side effects can be quite traumatic. A friend of mine had problems like yours - Was able to get help from another doctor. |
