Issue I'm doing a project for health based on the movie and was wondering if I could collect your opinions on these two questions. #1.) Should fast food companies be permitted to advertise to kids? Why or why not? and... #2.) Should the fast food industry be heald legally liable for its' impact on consumers health? Why or why not? Any comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks :-) Best Tip I don't agree with fast food restraunts, especailly when they advertise to kids, but there is no law saying that they can't so they should be allowed if they want. Fast food restraunts shouldn't be held legally liable for impact on consumers health because no is making you eat the fast food. It's fried and filled with fat, like most people know. If you eat fast food reguraley, then you should know that there will be health consquences. People are stupid if they do not know that. Others Yes, kids don't have an income, so the parents are the real customers. No, the consumer decides to put that junk in their body. In the end, it is the person's fault if they are obese. They can make changes in their lifestyle. it's not that hard. If McDonalds is making you fat, stop eating it, work out. It's that simple. #1. Its fine if they advertise to kids. Theres nothing wrong with advertising to a certain group. #2. They should be held legally liable in some ways. They do advertise to people to buy their foods but they ddin't force them to eat as many as some people do. So you can't say its entirely their fault. 1 no 2 yes cuz america is already obese and did u no that there r more overweight people than starving people, and there are about a billion starving people. i dont eat fast food restaurants. i think restuarants should be held responsible cuz no one nos wat they put in their food, so for all we no it could be all trans fat and crap stuff i hate fast food and i dont drink soda. im the healthiest in my whole life Yes to # 1 because it is up to the PARENTS to feed children correctly. Nothing wrong with the OCCASIONAL treat at McDonald's, etc. No to # 2 because again, parents have to be in control of children's eating and then once you are an adult, YOU have to control what you eat. It's like the tobacco companies being responsible in this day and age for people who get cigarette-related health problems. No one FORCED you to smoke the cigarettes and no one forces you to eat poorly. 1.i dont think they should be allowed permission to advertise to kids because thats one of the reasons kids are more obese and because at school, they are putting in pop machines and not offering any water!! 2i also think they should be liable because they arent telling you how many calories are in it!!!and they soak their food in grease!! Advertise to kids: Yes, but should provide nutritional information and healthy alternatives. Held legally liable: No. We have the ability to be responsible for our own actions. |
