*Health Issues>>>Other-Health issues>>>Is it normal............? |
Issue If I talk to myself more than I talk to people? I'm willing to get proffesional help for this if it isn't. What's wrong with me though? Like I can seriously make myself laugh out loud about stuff, I like review a whole day in my head and point of certain stuff [like if a guy kept staring at me or something] Best Tip I wouldn't worry unless you are finding that it is interfering with other aspects of your life. Do you find yourself avoiding going out with friends or doing other social activities because you would rather stay home and talk to yourself? Do your friends avoid you because of this? Do your conversations with yourself keep you from doing activities that you would otherwise prefer doing (like working, reading, etc)? A lot of what is considered "abnormal" has to do with the effect it has on the person's life, not the activity itself. If this isn't causing you any distress and is not interferring with other aspects of your life, what's the harm? Others i do that sometimes. i talk to myself very often. i think you're alright. don't waste your money on professionals. they won't help you much Everyone is crazy in some way, most functionable insane, but this isn't altogether weird u could but it is not nesscary. its somewhat normal to review the day but get more social. no one can gve you a real answer based on this limited info. If a psychiatric evaluation is available to you, I'd say go get one. Just talking to yourself isn't itself a sign that something's wrong - many of history's greatest thinkers were known for talking to themselves - often it's just thinking out loud. Talking to yourself more than you talk to others may be a sign of a social disorder (though from the sound of it, not a very serious one). On the other hand, it may just mean the people you know are boring. Either way, a little mental health advice never hurt anyone, but avoiding it sure has. |
