*Health Issues>>>Pain & Pain Management issues>>>percocet headaches? |
Issue currently i'm taking percocet for a minor injury..and i swear this medicine is giving me terrible headaches..the last time my dr. put me on this medicine i got headaches also..why? is this bad? Best Tip One thing that may very well be compounding your problems is the use of Percocet for a preventive. Percocet is not a preventive. Percocet is a pain medication, and using it more than two or three days a week is highly likely to cause rebound headaches in most people Others I can't say I've had the same problem with percocet. Have you ever had problems with tylenol which is in it? I suggest you ask your doctor for a three day supply of another analgesic, and see if the headaches go away. If not, try a third. It may just be a strange reaction you get, but the goal of the medication is to take away pain. my son gets chest pain fron a certain pain medication... he is allergic to it.... my guess would be you are allergic to it... don't take anymore... ask your doctor for something else Headaches can be a side effect of narcotics. Ask your MD if there is some other med you can try. There's Tramadol; it works relatively well. |
