Issue I have painful tendinitis, any suggestions for relief of the pain? Best Tip First and foremost I would have to say rest it. Try to put as little of stress on it as possible. I would also suggest putting ice on it a couple times a day because tendonitis is an inflamation of the tendon and ice more than likely will help decrease the inflamation. If those don't help then I would see and orthopedic doctor and possibly a physical therapist to get their opinions on the situation. As a personal opinion I would try and stay away from anykind of injection and use it only as a last resort. Others Yes! Go to a Chiropractor. I love them. I know a lot are fearful of them but I KNOW they work. I've hard a dead nerve in my wrist and the docs wanted to do an EKG and all this crap and I went to my Chiro and he fixed it within two weeks. I also had tendinitis before when I was a waitress. Fixed me up good. They may not be able to cure you but they can make you feel A LOT better and more comfortable!! A corticosteroid injected by you doctor into the affected site may offer some relief. Other then that I am not sure what to tell you. if the pain is in either foot, best thing is to get an x-ray to check for a condition called haglund's deformity which can cause tendonitis. other wise in most cases celestone injections are effective along with reduced stress on the tendon |
