Does anyone have any good methods to relieve shoulder/back pain?

Issue
I've tried advil, tylenol, asprin, Icy Hot, Flex-all (IcyHot but less intense,) and Tiger balm, and I've even tried massage (from a professional)...ow, it still hurts, and its just a KNOT, dang it, so...any good home remedies? :D

Best Tip
I use this asian cream that heats up your ache extrememly fast and then cools it down slowly. A good home remedie is hot water (like a hot bath) with extreme jets...so basically like a hot tub. If its extrememly bad though, consider seeing a doctor.

Others
try stretching the muscle...and exercising it.
Try getting new arch suports for your shoes. Your feet can throw off your whole body.
Walking
Sit in a hot tub
Relax
Massage
Sit up and stand up straight
Strengthen the muscles in your back with exercise
Wear good supporting shoes
Sleep on a semi-firm mattress
use the icy hot patch. or just stretch your back a lot. soon, you'll be stretching your back all the time without even noticing that you are.
i had a simmilar problem.....pulled a muscle in my sholder a few years ago and it gives me problems every so often. i got this great stuff from my local chinese medical place......its this little bottle of red liquid and smells of cinnamon. it works really well on my muscles, so im sure it will work wonders on your back.

sorry i couldnt give you a name, but the label is in chinese and i cant understand it!
What brought on the pain? Injury? Have you seen a doctor for this?
