is it dangerous to inhale the sawdust of treated pine.?

Issue
can the arsnic be hazardous. i used a garden blower and didnt use a mask, and after i have had a cough ever since. remembered i had cut up alot of treated pine splits months earlier, in the same spot. i also wonder about the hazard of mdf particle board.

Best Tip
Well, mdf will have a ton of glue in it and the dust is SUPER FINE!!! yes, you should definately use a mask with that. if you overexherted yourself that day you blew the treated pine dust around, it might be ok and just "lung burn" if you did it outside. If you blew it around your garage in a closed space, it might be what is irritating your lungs. I would go to the DR. and tell them your concern... they might be able to test you out.

Others
Inhaling any kind of tree type dust can cause problems with your lungs. Always use a face mask when and eye protection when working with any of these.
Yeah, honey you certainly can cause damage to your lungs because of the minute particles resting and irritating them. Might consider getting a chest xray to determine extent or permanency of damage and/or poisoning and start getting treatment. Peace.
If you never noticed there is usually a tiny sticker on the end of pressure-treated lumber with all sorts of dire warnings, such as don't handle this material unless you are wearing gloves, wear a face mask and goggles, all sorts of things. I wouldn't worry about this now, though, it's too late for you. You have signed your own death warrant.

Don't worry, we all are going to die sooner or later; you just might go a little sooner now.
No animals or plants were harmed in the answering of this question. Any similarity with any person, living or dead, is purely coincidental and unintended.

What, me worry?
