where can i get a free and anonymous STI and HIV tests in london?

Best Tip
Hi, you could go to your local GUM clinic ( genito-urinary medicine) these clinics normally take place at your local health centre on certain days of the week. Its confidential and they will test you for all std's including HIV, herpes, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhoea. I work for NHS and we receive sample from these clinics, the forms and sample do not have your name on it so no one will know or find out about you being tested. You are given a code and only the doctor testing you can link the sample back to you, I don't even know whose being tested.

You will however have to have a chat with the doctor about being tested for HIV as you will have to understand the ramifications should you test positive. Remember its confidential, so there is no need to be worried or anxious, and you can usually receive your results within a few days. You should know that it can take up to 3 months for the HIV virus to be detected in your blood so you may be asked to come back and be tested at various intervals.

Hope this helps, good luck. Source(s): My job, work in microbiology lab, which tests GUM samples.
