Issue my boyfriend went down below last night and he has a cold sore its about a week old and its not open anymore but its still there both of us didnt think about it untill afterwards and now we are both worried about it are the chances high of getting genital herpes even though his cold sore is almost healed? Even without symptoms it is possible for transmission to occur. Many people still believe Herpes cannot be transmitted through oral sex. Others not very big. but watch it closely and if you think something might be happening get to a doctor. theres still a good chance, go to the doc asap so u can either stop worrying or start getting it treated Herpes is contagious even if no sores are visible. It is a painful disease that is without a cure. i dont think it will do anything just keep an eye out thats all but it think ur ok. but talk to your gyno about it she/he will know more about it. There are two forms of herpies. Cold sores, canker sores whick are both re occurring, and then there is genital warts. I believe something around 90% of people will have a cold sore in their life, so as long as its not genital herpes you should be alright. It never hurts to get tested, pee in a cup and draw a little blood they will know. I believe genital herpes and cold sores are two separate varieties - simplex 1 & 2. So you probably wouldn't get one from the other. |
