A Paracetemol question?

Issue
taken to reduce inflammation of the skin? Are there alternatives? Please provide sources.

Over the counter non-prescription medication

Best Tip
paracetamol is purely a pain killer. It will not reduce inflammation of any sort. Inflammation of the skin needs a topical cream to be treated properly. Show it to the chemist if you are able and they will give you something appropriate.

On the other hand, if you have any pure Lavender essential oil, mix three drops with some cool water (or iced water if there is heat in the inflammation) and apply regularly. This is very very good - try it.

Others
Ibuprofen is a better anti inflammotary than paracetemol.
Fact!
Ask your pharmacist. If it is the skin that is inflamed, why? Ibuprofen has anti-inflammatry properties which is better than paracetamol. But a cream would possibly work better on your skin.
Ibuprofen is an NSAID (None Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug). That could be worth a try, but what is the problem with seeing a GP and getting some advice and possibly a prescribed medication?
You need to find out what is causing the inflammation first but you could try Piriton antihistamine. See your doctor or ask the pharmacist.
Any drug that states that its a NSAID which stand for non steroidal anti inflamatory drug, one of the strongest is called Syndol, thats non prescription but i think (not 100% sure) that you can only buy it in pharmacies. You dont state where you are but if your in the states look for a new one called aleve, there very effective.
