*Health Issues>>>Skin Conditions issues>>>Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of eczema product to use for my daughter? |
Issue I have a three year old daughter that has eczema. I've tried almost every product you can name. Elidel, hyrdocortizone, freederm, you name it, we've tried it. Nothing seems to help. She no longer itches the way that she used to, but the rashes are still there and itch occassionally. I know there's no cure, but I just need something that is going to give her some relief. Best Tip Okay, I also have eczema, and was really frustrated because nothing, including the doctor's prescription, wasn't working. A lady in Wal-Mart told me "she" uses a cream called "UDDERLY SMOOTH." The tube of this cream is less than $2.00, and the jar is only about $4.00. I decided to try it out, and haven't used anything else since. One thing to remember about eczema. When you apply any kind of cream, put it on and rub it in going ONLY one direction. Because by rubbing "both" directions, for whatever reason, it causes the eczema to spread! Udderly smooth is not a cure, but it works better than anything "I've" used so far. Think about it, they use this cream on cow udders to keep them from chapping and getting sores, so it makes sense. Good luck. Source(s): experience Others my suggestion would be to see a dermatologist.. over the counter stuff, may not be enough. Assisting in self-diagnosis is not the purpose of this website. People with chronic forms of dermatitis or skin inflammation should have these conditions diagnosed by a physician. There are numerous types of skin diseases with manifestations similar to eczema, but they may be caused by allergies, bacteria, fungus, virus, etc. and in many cases, once diagnosed correctly these conditions can be treated effectively. This website is for people who have been diagnosed with eczema and seek alternate forms of relief and control, with no side effects.
