Issue I know what each of these are but can a woman see either, or do only pregnant women see an ob/gyn? If you're planning to have kids in the near should you just go with an ob/gyn? Best Tip An ob/gyn is who a pregnant woman sees. A regular gyn does not care for pregnant patients. If you would like to keep the same doctor for both regular gyn appointments AND your pregnancies, you need to see an ob/gyn. However, they can be VERY DIFFICULT to get an appointment with and you risk having long waits and cancellations due to women going into labor. Hope this helps! Others OB Gyn Almost every gynecologist is also an Obstetric doctor. Meaning pretty much all GYN's deliver babies. They are the same thing, idiot. ob/gyn it is the same thing...just one has 2 degrees no normally a ob/gyn will see you regardless unless you live in a huge city and then they may be picky:) If you are planning on having kids soon I would establish myself as a patient with an OB/GYN. Most Dr. that just list GYN don't deliver babies anymore. |
