Issue so I have taken my birthcontrol pills everyday and have not missed one, but today I got my period and it is very light, like to the point where there is almost nothing there at all. I have cramps and had some break through bleeding the week before (tues-friday). I have never experienced anything like this and was wondering the cause of it. The last time my bf and I had protected sex was 3wks ago, so I doubt I am pregnant because it would not seem to add up. I am not having any symptoms of pregnancy just to let you know Best Tip Sometimes birth control can make your period very light or non existant. If you've read your pill pamplet and are taking combined contraceptives (as in it has progestin and estrogen), then your pamplet will tell you that on occasion you might miss your period but, if you miss 2 periods in a row call your doctor. Since you are sexually active, taking a pregnancy test just incase would be a good idea. You can get one at any drug store or even the dollar store or you can go to a walk in clinic or planned parenthood. I agree that it's unlikely though since the pill is 99% effective and it sounds like you might have been using condoms too. |
