Please Help Me? Is this serious..i'm seriously scared? |
Issue ok well im 16 and have never been sexually active in any kind of way, but my periods have been really weird and irregular. Like i will have 2 periods in one month then the next time i wont have one. They are very painful and i flow very heavily. I'm kinda scared that it might be the same thing that my mom had when she was younger, but i'm afraid to mention this too her because i really dont like the doctors office and i definitely dont want to see a gyno(male or female) i dont think i would be comfortable with that. But when my mom was younger she had a tumor on her ovary and it made her do the same thing, so i am really scared. And with my period i change a pad every hour to hour in a hlaf. but i only last for threee days maybe if its heavier it will go to 5 days. Please help me because i am very scared! and please be nice about it because right now i really dont need hae fussing and smart mouthing.~Thanks alot if you can help and give me some advice.~ Best Tip I know doctors can be scary and kinda creepy at times, but if the problems you are experiencing are hereditary, you probably might want to get a check up.Also tell your mom, she is the only one you can trust in your life, especially at the age you are, she will never turn on you, even if you do make mistakes, so talk to her, and let her know what is going on, tell her that you might not feel comfortable going to a doc, maybe you both could go together and get a nice healthy normal check up, you should do something now before it turns to something serious, if you take care of it now, it might be the best descisiion you make in your entire life. Hope this helps!! Source(s): Perosnal Others Doctors can be scary and intimidating but if there is something wrong....especially with a family history...you NEED to have yourself checked....I know I would rather go through a few doctors and live a happy life after than stay away from doctors and find out later that something is terribly wrong. Not only should you check up on this....you need regular check ups anyway. At least talk to your mom about it. I hate to say it but you should see a doctor. Because if it's the same issue your mother had than you want to catch it in the early stages. If it's just an irregular period. Maybe you should try birth control pills to regulate your periods more. But you should see someone. Suck it up and go to the doctor PLEASE See the doctor. I mean it. It's better to get this fixed now, whether or not it's the same thing your mother had, than to have it get worse later on. I understand that you're uncomfortable about seeing a gynecologist, but it's something that may have to be done. Talk to your mother first, she can help you decide if you can perhaps see your regular doctor, but in the end you're most likely going to end up going to a gynecologist. You seem to be very worried about this problem, so understand that if you go it will alleviate your fears to hear a diagnosis or treatment. It did for me. You really should tell your mom because you need to go to the doctor to get this checked out. If you want to, you can also find a planned parenthood clinic in your area and make an appointment to see a doctor through them. Don't let this go, get help as soon as possible. Good luck, hope you feel better soon. you should really see the Gyno I hate them to but If you get a female they are very nice and you feel way more comfortable. This could possibly find the problem and solve it. NO one watns painful periods never mind two of them in one month. Also You could ruin your chances of someday becoming pregnant if you dont fix it right away. |
