*Health Issues>>>Women's Health issues>>>Does and HIV woman's child while in pregnancy have HIV too? |
Issue if my question is not explained well here it is: Does the fetus of an HIV pregnant woman alos have HIV or does it contract it while it is born? Best Tip In general, babies born to mothers who have HIV has a 25%-30%chance of being infected with HIV. In some states, the dr is required by law to offer HIV test. If you find out you're infected with HIV, you might choose not to have children. If you are already pregnant when you find out; you have time to think about doing things to lower the chance that your baby will be infected with HIV.Your baby can get perinatal HIV. several ways during pregnancy:during labor and delivery,or during breastfeeding. There maybe less of a chance of passing HIV to your baby if you deliver by c-section.Also consider bottle feeeding . If the baby contracts it , the baby will be tested positive for HIV because it will have the antibodies from the mother. The baby will produce its own antibodies upon reaching 6 months to 18 mons. . Others NO a fetus has its own bloodstream and is actually protected while in the womb from contracting HIV, however there is a chance the baby could be born HIV possitive but MANY times buy the time the baby is a toddler it would have developed its own anti-bodies and will test negative for the HIV virus Pre Med 2 years standing! no. it is an unexplained mystery. No, only if the child is delivered vaginally. |
